The Journal of North East India Council for Social Science Research is being published regularly since 1977 bearing ISSN 0970-7913. 
At present the Journal is being publishing by the NEICSSR fund.

The Journal was released by Prof. J .B. Bhattacharjee at Shillong Law College, Shillong.

NEICSSR has 80 books in its credit since 1977.

A book entitled Growth of Unplanned Towns and Cities in the North East Region of India: Problems and Alleviation Measures is publishing very soon. It is edited by Dr. P. S. Nianglang and Dr. Siddheswar Sarma. The publisher of the book is Concept Publishing Company, New Delhi.
